The Ypsilon Institute

The Ypsilon Institute would like to invite you to join us, as we are bringing together around 150 of most talented and socially proactive representatives of Generation Y between the age of 20 and 30. They wish to shape a better tomorrow, and are aware of the importance of intergenerational cooperation for the progress of society. Are you also one of them? The membership is conditioned by an important achievement on the career field, which shows an active development of talent, a wish for the development of managerial skills, and high level of integrity and social awareness.

The Ypsilon Institute has, apart from individuals, also corporative membership, where it brings together companies, the state and public institutions and other organizations. We offer you participation in developing social awareness of your company, connecting and additional education. With our products and services you will achieve better results, in different way, with new insight and approach. Welcome!

  • What is Simbioz@?

    What is Simbioz@?

Simbioz@ - E-literate Slovenia is the largest Slovenian voluntary project based on intergenerational cooperation and it is organized by the Y psilon Institute. It consists of free workshops which will take place between 17th and 21st October, when young volunteers all over Slovenia will try to excite and encourage their elderly students to use the computer and internet.

The main purpose of the project is to enable a positive computer experience for the elderly, to strengthen their self-confidence and motivate them for further learning and use of computer and Internet. We wish to contribute to a higher level of computer literacy among the Slovenian elderly, since, at the moment, approximately 90% of the population, older than 65 years, has never used the computer or the Internet. We will address at least 200.000 young Slovenians by challenging them to become volunteers, and more than 300.000 of the elderly by encouraging them to embrace lifelong learning which will help them improve their lives.

Ljubljana, 7th September 2010 - Ninth event, first in the new cycle of the Ypsilon Institute’s activities, held a provocative title: Rotary and Lions clubs – weavers of philanthropy, elite or conspiracy? We’ve woven an interesting evening together with Rotary club Zgornji Brnik, Lions club Brnik and with support of districts leaders, where we presented both organizations to the young, opened interesting topics with extraordinary guests and concluded our event with a charity auction which raised 3.000 EUR for organizations ZPM Moste Polje and CIRIUS Kamnik. A pleasant evening emphasised a message to encourage friendship and do good.
