A member of the Ypsilon Institute can be a representative of Generation Y, fulfilling the following conditions:
- being from 20 to 30 years of age (exceptionally from 18 to 33 years of age),
- showing interest in the development of society, self growth in both professional and personal manner and care about the future,
- paying the membership fee.
The candidate shall submit:
- registration form, completed and signed
- recommendation letter with a short explanation by at least one member of the Ypsilon Institute
- CV
- motivation letter
- the candidate’s recommendation of two potential members
For those over 30 years old, the Ypsilon Institute provides Membership+, intended mostly for the former members of the Ypsilon Institute.
All applications received are discussed by the board of the Ypsilon Institute. Only fully completed applications are considered. New members are accepted twice a year, in October and in March, or more often if necessary. The board can deny a candidate without any explanation and holds the right to invite a potential member to an interview. The board can also caution or expel a member.
After the receipt of an application we advise the candidate on the date when he/she can expect the board’s decision.
Founder members have been invited by the founders; their admission has not been under consideration by a special commission. The number of members is limited by 250 with possible annual growth of 10 %.
A Member has to follow 6 rules of the Ypsilon Institute:
- living ethically and morally
- striving for intergenerational cooperation
- respecting, helping and appreciating other people
- being a man of his word
- being socially sensitive and responsible.
